July 4th 2009 was approaching, and I was facing a video emergency: A trade booth at Muscle Beach Venice with countless opportunity to capture top athletes using my product. I went on Craigslist and contacted half a dozen posters, where
Jake was the most reasonably priced and straight forward. (He was actually the only one I’d call
straight forward.)
I had no time to interview video folk and went with Jake Lloyd on instinct and necessity. Jake
arrived right on time at 7 a.m. By 11 a.m. it was easy to see that “the video was handled.” What
was great about Jake is that he “got it.” He got my product, he got the point, he understood
the story and made sure it got told. He knew how to help our team become part of the day and got the competitors to do things they would otherwise want money for. As he slung the camera over his shoulder, he interviewed some of LA’s top muscle and really got them talking. A storyteller, a listener, a technically proficient camera guy and computer/web wiz all rolled into one  gentleman.  That’s very hard to find, but I found it on Craigslist in Jake.
We can get into the speed, style and imagination of the editing another time. We can talk later
about the learning curve he raced up dealing with the clunky, illogical architecture of my web
shopping cart. And the honesty which he prepares my invoices. Let’s just say, I never have
cause to wonder, “Did he really spend this much time?” I am more likely to ask, “He really got all
that done in just the few hours on this invoice? Wow.”
Jake has handled my projects, solved my problems, prevented my mistakes and helped my
business meet one challenge after another ever since.
So if you have the opportunity, I say go with that Jake Lloyd guy.

Jake designed my awesome website and CD artwork.  He does such a great job of following a plan and meeting my specific needs while filling in the cracks and making everything better, more cohesive, & more professional.  He works fast, but the quality never suffers, and he always manages to offer a variety of worthy options.  While looking at my website, a coworker walked up to me (without knowing it was my website) and said "wow! that site just pops!"
